Overview

This special HSR Conference on June 13, 2007 will build upon the momentum of our recent HSR Colloquium (March 21st) which brought Department of the Navy personnel policy makers together with DoD researchers in an effort to focus, coordinate, and optimize efforts improving scientific knowledge, with a goal of ensuring delivery of HSR benefits to those facing challenges of 21st Century conflicts.

The June 13th Conference will provide Defense manpower-personnel, training, and education leadership an opportunity to hear from top human sciences experts regarding advances in Human Sciences Research and Applications to Warrior Development. The Conference will address human dimension issues in the following areas:

  • Human stress reactions & performance
  • Physical fitness, readiness to engage
  • Medical response to warrior threats
  • Ethical considerations of HS Research
  • Augmenting warrior cognition
  • Warrior training applications
  • Legislative initiatives

We anticipate a day of informative presentations and insightful discussion.
